This Human C-Type Lectin Domain Family 14 Member A (CLEC14A/EGFR5) ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of human CLEC14A in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA, citrate). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.

This human CLEC14A ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for CLEC14A has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: E22-A490) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for CLEC14A is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB are used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human CLEC14A amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: CLEC14A (C-type lectin domain family 14 member A; also EGFR5) is a 51 kDa (predicted) member of the C-type lectin domain family of proteins. This gene is mapped to 14q21.1. This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily. Members of this family share a common protein fold and have diverse functions, such as cell adhesion, cell-cell signalling, glycoprotein turnover, and roles in inflammation and immune response. This family member plays a role in cell-cell adhesion and angiogenesis. It functions in filopodia formation, cell migration and tube formation. Due to its presence at higher levels in tumor endothelium than in normal tissue endothelium, it is considered to be a candidate for tumor vascular targeting. ; Immunogen sequence: 369
