This Mouse Carboxylesterase 3 ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for quantitative detection of mouse CES3 in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.

This mouse CES3 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from rat specific for CES3 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO, Immunogen sequence: Y19-L565) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for CES3 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human Fibronectin amount of sample captured in plate.

Additional Information: The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: This gene is mapped to 8; 8 C5. It encodes a member of the carboxylesterase large family. The family members are responsible for the hydrolysis or transesterification of various xenobiotics, such as cocaine and heroin, and endogenous substrates with ester, thioester, or amide bonds. Enzyme that hydrolizes long-chain fatty acids and thioesters; may play a role in lipid metabolism and/or the elimination of toxic substances. They may participate in fatty acyl and cholesterol ester metabolism, and may play a role in the blood-brain barrier system. This gene is expressed in several tissues, particularly in colon, trachea and in brain, and the protein participates in colon and neural drug metabolism. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported, but the biological validity and/or full-length nature of some variants have not been determined.; Immunogen sequence: 333
